The Royal Grammar School Guildford (RGSG), in partnership with the Sama Educational Company, is opening a new school in Muscat in September 2023. RGSG Muscat will bring centuries of heritage and academic excellence, while Sama will ensure we honour the cultural values and heritage of Oman. Our students will enjoy an outstanding British international education exemplified by exceptional pastoral care and a multitude of extracurricular activities. From September 2023, RGSG Muscat will be welcoming students from Foundation (age 3 years) up to grade 5 (ages 9/10+).

We are delighted to announce the appointment of the highly recognised international educator, Justin Durling, as our Founding Head. With years of experience as the Head at schools around the globe - including in Egypt, Malaysia, and Ecuador - he will provide an innovative approach to learning and teaching, for the local and international communities of Oman, enabling the development of every aspect of the character and talents of each individual student.
Chris is passionate about enabling young people to achieve their aspirations and make their dreams become a reality. He has collaborated with schools around the world to develop creative and innovative blends of curriculum, learning, teaching, facilities and leadership to make this happen. He has developed schools across the Middle East, Europe, Asia and South America, and chaired international education organisations, with the sole aim of impacting the learning of young people around the world, by preparing them for their future in a volatile, complex, rapidly changing and often ambiguous digital and global society
